The High Art
The High Art is the collective works of spiritual development which connect you to the greatest forces within the worlds. It is the study of the internal mechanics, and the systems which nature has developed and it is the application of attempts to duplicate natural causes through the mediums provided us. There are many ways to discuss it, from many different angles. Our view of it, is that it is in the natural process of development when one comes into contact with the greater forces of the supernal and infernal realms. Where one can develop themselves with the study of nature and develop themselves along that path. This is not a study for weakness or people who claim 'it's too hard' or 'I don't have time...' or 'I have so many other things to do first...'. All of these are excuses, all of these show at the true weakness of the spirit. Never will any of the membership here be bored, never will they rotate the mantra of 'it's too hard'. Not understanding it is one thing, but it is never too hard if they apply themselves.
The study of the forces of the world, also relates to the human individual on their path, in relation to the supernal and infernal powers within their mind. As discussed in the Codex the forces are the raw currents of nature, the elemental sources in their original states. The powers of creation are anything which has a mind, through which it can will. The study of the divisions of mind can be found among hermetic texts in various forms. The Kybalion is one of these. The natural world is subject to manipulation through the dedicated practices of those who seek to change it. To achieve works which are like unto god. Thaumaturgy, where one creates works which are duplicated in the natural world. This term was used by Elphias Levi in his work Dogma Et Rituel De La Haute Magie and has been one of the greatest works since the Three Books of Occult Philosophy, and the works of A.E. Waite and T.L. deLawerence have come out in the early 1900s. However their focus was on the judaeo-christian side of the art.
Typically defined as Western Magick, with the uses of circles, and long drawn out conjurations, exorcisms of spiritual bodies as well as whatever archaic sacrificial methods the old grimoires require for the needed life currents. These systems are out dated. It is through the work of the Templi Nox, that we are giving the Old structure of the Western Concept of ceremonial magick an overhaul. No longer will be subjected to the whims of a single god-force, when the mechanics are there, and have been written about in the Codex Arcanum; to be applicable to any system which uses a godforce to power the work, a planetary spirit or force to supply the energy, or even if the mage would invest needed time and effort to make these works come about by the force of their own will. The blending of the Theurgical paths of people who serve their own Gods, the Thaumaturgical works of those seeking to duplicate the events in the Natural Worlds, and the Alchemy of transforming the self into the highest states their will allows.

Nothing is too ancient to study, and nothing is too modern to incorporate it. We study all aspects of nature. We exist in the form of this Temple, and the Orders therein to bring these studies, and our work to the world of the modern era. There is no reason why the spirit should be forced to remain undeveloped in a world where new technology makes even cutting edge things outdated every 6 months. That is true magick.
