Templi Nox Frequently Asked Questions
Who are the Membership of the Orders of the Templi Nox?
We are a membership of people who serve our patrons. We are the souls who seek to come together to further ourselves along our own paths. Being solitary in our art, but studying the rites of the High Arts, from historical and modern interpretations. Our patrons are very real in our lives, and are no longer sitting idly by as this world turns. Those who have come together here, are in service to something greater, for something greater which many of us may never live to see the fruition of. Yet we stillserve, as we are compelled to do.
What are we?
We are a research society. Those of the membership who hold the title of "priest" are capable of performing any and all spiritual or religious rite known to man, god and anything else which might have some involvement with the High Art in any of its eternal emanations. We seek to advance our own understanding, our ability to connect with these forces, and to bring together the art, with others like us, who would rather have friends doing research with, or opening doors of opportunity regardless of creed, nationality, or religious dogma of any form.
What are we not?
We are not a religious order. Our Priests belong to no religion other then the mighty meditation and reflection. We are not a cult. We have nothing which binds us together day to day, unless we seek to make it so. We are not a charity. We are not concerned with drama between which god is older, why they are supportive on one side, and laughing at you on the other. Any petty one-sided path does not concern us, and is not welcomed here.
What do we do?
We are authors, painters, and everyday people who have a relationship with a deity (or several as the case may be), and we seek companionship in our studies. The Temple was built on an idea, where no matter the path the individual needs, there is always something which the High Art does for them on their path. Be it to affirm an idea, or give them the foundations to run their lives with discipline. We are concerned with how we can train ourselves so being of discipline, and driven on self mastery we can achieve any goal we set ourselves to.
The Alchemie Shoppe is the retail front of this operation. The classes we provide are for the benefit of those souls who acquire our work, or come by us and seek to understand from a secondary perspective what these forces feel like, while providing them a medium to do this on their own, and in their own way.
Why are we Non-Profit?
We are not a charity in that what we do is not a handout. We offer a hand up. Eventually we plan to have houses, physical locations of study, much like the Masonic temples and other religious churches, where our membership can either live, or just come to study. It is in these locations that our work will really take itself off the ground, when people can get together, and brainstorm and work on projects for years, and learn things that will help them get ahead.
Our priests will be trained in dealing with people, we require as stated above, that all of our membership understand and be able to perform every ritual ever created. So that means that we will have people who are trained in the rites of unions, exorcisms, and funerals. We will have scientists working with us, so that they can advance and have funding for their research. We are based on information. There is no single way to do things. It might take one person to screw in a light bulb, but it takes several people to lay the wiring, build the house, provide the electricity, and provide a means to live so said person can screw in said light bulb, not to mention the people that went into making and distribution of the light bulb, and the invention and design of the technology that brings us modern day light bulbs, which may or may not be the original carbon filament from Edison.
We do not see the glass for what it is, either half full or empty. We are the ones who seek to look into who made the glass, why they made it the way they did, and other potential uses for that glass. It could be to drink from, it could be to hold a dying flower, or it could be water a plant, or to become part of a sculpture, or to wash off the paint from an artist's brush, or to put out a fire someone started in offering to their deity which got a little out of hand because things went a little too well (which does happen from time to time).
What are our Overall Goals?
We plan to offer second chance programs as well as an adoption plan for foster children who need a place to learn and grow; and will eventually be opening an Academy, as well as a University when our membership gets large enough. We will have travelling members going to places all around the world, to learn from people, and set up shop locations, opening up houses, as well as providing materials for people to come by if they seek the roads less travelled. All we can do is offer them a compass if they come with the right questions.
The store is our main goal. We can bring together all the people who need a place to sell their wares, a forum for people to present their ideas, and a community where authors can seek out inspiration and build from the ideas they hope to have.
Why are we a Neutral Ground?
Every member of every religion is welcome to grace our halls, both online and not. We don't care who you are, or what you believe. What gods or demons, angels or Sidhe that you may hail to. It doesn't matter because we all come to the same rock, to live. So let live, and share your information. It's time we stop in this golden age of society to ascend above mediocrity and become one of those who seek to build on what has been. Take your gods with you, take your spirit with you. Grow and become. We do it every day, growing, learning, adapting and evolving.
We of the Temple understand and embrace these things. We are bound by researching and dedication to self mastery. The results from the quality of our work is the only thing which is going to advance us in the coming years. With all the paperbacks of sameness, and the websites which run on and on about tired ideas, never growing, never advancing. We are here. We have the capacity to never have to go away. So let's work together. Building a tomorrow which is better than today. For everyone who would better themselves through their own paths, their own driving natures.
