In the deepest recesses of history the human psyche has feared the things which exist in the night. These are things which are horrors to the human who lives in the world of the day, where all mystery is expelled by the protection of the Light, that god-force which protects and shows things for what they really are. The Templi Nox embraces this concept. We seek to foster the notion of knowing things for what they really are. Thus we exist to seek out and develop those things which have been feared or ignored for the sake of human fear and ignorance over the last 20,000 years of human society. We seek to study the world of nature, in its day side and night side relationships. To understand the mysteries of the spheres, and realize that the only mystery is those things which we have not yet studied ourselves.
For some these practices come second nature, to others they are to be avoided. We are the Templi Nox. This eternal temple, governed over by the Goddess of Night herself, Nyx, we honor her cloak of shadows as it spreads across the world, and the primal elements which she keeps within the temple in the veil of shadows. We honor them, and we respect the concepts for which these forces of nocturnal inquires represent. The Templi Nox, is a physical incarnation of an Idea. To question, to learn, to grow, and develop. We do this in every way we can, from our every day lives to the paths of the spirits which we devote our lives to the mastery of our own. We may follow gods, we may not, we may have ideas which others like, and some which they do not. We however all find ourselves on the road of night, wherein are the shadows we must learn, and apply the light of our own reason to, as well as sitting alone within the shadows with them so that we can understand all sides to their nature, and thusly ours.
We strive for balance, we strive for justice, and all of the things which makes us human, and natural. The names for the Orders and the function they represent have correspondence with the ancient meanings for these times. The Order of Night, represents the paths of all things spiritual, all the forms of the High Art and those things which question the nature of reality as perception is determined by not just the ones doing the perceiving, but on the thing perceived. The Order of the Dawn, where in the body is brought to its capacity of development, before it enters again with the knowledges gained within in the night, with taking back the insight to the physical world of that which was in the night, and for those things which allow them to awaken to a bright day after all the transitions have taken place. The Order of the Twilight, the order of transformation and transitions, where we do all of our work for the developments, teaching, and assisting, helping both our membership and clients grow to their greatest capacity through the works we offer and the services which are provided.
Every order stands on its own, but it is through the Templi Nox, that they come together to form the path of the well rounded seeker who is seeking to understand their own nature, and the macrocosm, their place within it, and enter into the harsh light of day enlightened by the things which they have had the fortune of learning and experiencing. We are those who seek and strive to understand what we can, and learn from the situations which come about as the result of the researches we take. We are not armchair philosophers, we are not idly sitting by waiting for things to unravel around us, or happen as fate would have it. We are those who seek to bring about the ends for our means. We are those who are justified through the actions of natural justice, and the laws of the natural world, working in balance for all the forces with which we study and come across.
